Nardugan Bairam

Perhaps most people do not know, but the tradition of planting pine trees on the Nardugan festival is also present in the pre-Islamic Turkish society. Carpet motifs, statues are found in this. It is celebrated every year on the first full moon after December 22. The reason for this is that according to the old belief of Turks, they constantly fight day and night and the longest night on December 21st and the days begin to prolong, so the days of December 22 are very important for the Turks and following this day (because they use a calendar based on the month of the year) the first full moon comes out. the first day is the first day of the new year. The word Narduqan consists of the words "pomegranate" (sun) in the Mongolian language and "tuqan» (born, born) in the Turkish language.
